Al Fresco Theatre was established in response to the closure of theatres during the height of the Covid-19 pandemic, with a mission to bring professional actors, musician and creatives together to deliver quality entertainment in the relative safety of the great outdoors to family audiences. At a time of great frustration for many, Al Fresco offered a much needed creative outlet and focus for creatives alongside providing much needed entertainment for an eager audience. 
Based in East Anglia, we performed initially in any open space we could - car-parks, fields, beaches and recreation grounds and we quickly earned a reputation for quality new musicals,
re-imaged Shakespeare plays and hilarious family pantomimes and our productions are
now produced inside theatres as well as in outside spaces.
We are a commercially successful organisation, self-funding all projects from ticket sales. 
We predominately work in partnership with venues on a straight forward Box Office split.
We are always keen to hear from venues who are interested in the possibility of working
with us can contact us any time of year via email.
 

We believe it's important to encourage young talent and we appreciate how valuable
performance experience is for young performers building their performance CV & experience.
Each season we cast a small number of talented performing arts
students or new graduates to perform alongside our professional company.
